Port Aransas Restaurant Week: Jan 17–Feb 2, 2027
Local restaurants across the island offer special menus and prix-fixe deals for two weeks each January. A good excuse to work through spots you haven't tried yet, or revisit a favorite at a better price.
Whooping Crane Festival: Feb 25–28, 2027
Held each February when the endangered whooping cranes are wintering at Aransas National Wildlife Refuge nearby. The festival includes guided tours, birding excursions, speakers, and family activities across the area.
Texas SandFest: Apr 16–18, 2027
North America's largest native sand sculpting competition, held right on the beach in Port Aransas. Master sculptors from around the world spend days carving elaborate works from Gulf sand. Free to walk the beach; ticketed for closer access.

Port Aransas puts on one of the Texas coast's best Independence Day fireworks shows. The beach fills up early, so stake out your spot before dark and watch the display launch over the Gulf.
89th Deep Sea Roundup: Jul 9–12, 2026
One of the oldest fishing tournaments in the country, run out of the Port Aransas Boatmen's Association since 1934. Anglers compete across dozens of saltwater species categories over four days.

Texas Legends Billfish Tournament: Aug 5–9, 2026
One of the Gulf Coast's premier offshore fishing competitions, held out of Port Aransas. Teams compete for prizes across multiple billfish and gamefish categories over five days of deep-sea fishing.
Texas Women Anglers Tournament: Aug 21–23, 2026
A tournament dedicated to women anglers fishing the Texas coast. Competitors target a range of inshore and nearshore species, with categories for all experience levels.
Harvest Moon Regatta: Oct 22–25, 2026
One of the longest-running offshore sailing races in the country, running from Galveston Bay to Port Aransas. Dozens of sailboats make the overnight passage each fall, finishing at the Port Aransas marina.

Wooden Boat Festival: Nov 6–8, 2026
A celebration of classic wooden watercraft held at the Port Aransas marina. Builders, collectors, and enthusiasts bring their boats from across Texas for a weekend of demos, tours, and craftsmanship. Registration is open to boat owners who want to display their vessel.
